Playroom Projects: DIY Alphabet Chalkboard

Over the past couple months we’ve been changing our spare room into a playroom.

It has provided the best distraction for a certain little somebody while I’m trying to do laundry or basically anything that requires being upstairs. Not to mention sometimes kids just need a change of location and they are all smiles again! … or at least that is how it is with my little one.

My goal was to use items and decor we already had around the house or in storage to transform on empty room into a fun, welcoming playroom.

I thought I would share a couple of easy DIY projects that I did to create a playroom on a budget.

A playroom needs some fun colorful things on the walls, so I did a bit of digging around in my craft boxes and came up with an old chalkboard and alphabet stickers.

This is as simple as it gets.

I picked the stickers I liked and put the alphabet on the board… with a bit of help :).

Turns out it’s a good idea to also have a glue gun to actually glue the letters down at the end, since I did so much rearranging of the letters that they lost their ‘stickyness’.

Pretty much the easiest DIY there is! And it turned out super cute!

Exactly what a playroom needs.

Newborn Photos

I can’t believe sweet Baby S is already 10 months!! How did that happen?! Time sure flies with a baby; I feel like I’ve blinked and we are almost at a year!

I’ve been doing a bit of ‘first birthday party’ brainstorming over here and that got me a bit nostalgic, so I ended up scrolling through some of her newborn photos.

Gaaahhh she was the cutest little newborn :). So I thought I would share just a few pictures.

She had (and still has, just a bit longer and blonder) the sweetest fluffy hair with a little swirl on the back of her head. The cutest!!

A bit of baby spam to make your Monday a bit brighter!
