A Sweet Treat for your Tuesday: Fall Candy Bark

Fall Candy Bark - SweetnsimpleblogI would consider October one the the top three ‘candy’ months, of course the other two being December (Christmas) and March/April (depending where Easter falls).

I love these 3 months; there is always an extra excuse to do a bit of baking or treat yourself to something sweet 🙂

One of my favorite chocolate treats at Christmas time (and there are many) is peppermint bark. It’s the easiest dessert to make and it turns out so pretty!!

Today’s sweet treat is inspired by peppermint bark… yes I know it not Christmas…. so here’s a fall twist on a Christmas treat.

Time for some fall candy bark!!

Seeing as there is so much candy around during this month… might as well make some chocolate bark out of it!!

All you need to do is line a pan with tinfoil or wax paper.

Then melt some chocolate. I used mostly milk chocolate with a few drops of white chocolate to swirl around.

Then take your favorite fall candy… or left over halloween candy (this is a great way to use it all up!!) and sprinkle on top!!

Let your bark set in the fridge… or freezer (if you are dying to speed up to waiting time and get to the snacking time!!).

Once the bark is hardened break into pieces.

This stuff is so good!!! I especially love adding pretzels to it, so you get that sweet and salty combination. YUM!!

This is what I’ll be snacking on today!

Enjoy your Tuesday!!!
