Friday Favorites: Chocolate Chip Cookies

IMG_2096MMMMMMM. Chocolate chip cookies. My favorite!!

I don’t know about you, but chocolate chip cookies were the very first thing I ever learned to bake. Since then I’ve searched for the PERFECT recipe.

And this recipe is the one I’ve settled on, its THE best and super easy to make! The cookies turn out just a little bit crispy with the nice chewy center.

I made a batch today, and have already eaten my fair share of them!

Here’s what you need:

Step 1: Heat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (I always like to do this first, so that my oven can heat up while I mix everything together. YAY multi-tasking)

Step 2: Cream butter with both of your sugars (Brown sugar and granulated sugar).

Step 3: Once the butter and sugars are beat together so they are creamy, beat in your egg and vanilla.

Step 4: Mix all the dry ingredients in a separate bowl (flour, baking soda, and corn starch).

Step 5: Mix your dry ingredients in with your wet ingredients (that butter, sugar, egg, vanilla mixture you have). Slowly pour the dry into the wet while mixing.

Step 6: Mix in your chocolate chips and M&Ms.

Step 6.5: Test your M&Ms to make sure they taste good/are not poisonous/whatever other excuse you would like to insert here.

Step 7: Roll or scoop your cookie dough onto a pan (if you don’t have a non-stick pan make sure to use some non-stick spray!)IMG_2081

Step 8: Pop them in the oven and bake for 8 minutes (I like mine a bit underdone so they are chewy, so you could bake yours for 9/10 minutes if you like them more crispy).

Seriously. SO good. Hope you enjoy these cookies as much as I do!!

Happy Weekend!
